Seeking a God who Wants to be Found

The Bible describes repeatedly the pattern of one generation of people turning their backs on God and subsequently facing hardship in their lives. Often in the midst of these life challenges, they recognize their need for God, and begin to seek Him!

It appears to me that God wants to be found, because He quickly responds by pouring blessings in the lives of the seekers. An example of this is recorded in the historical record of King Asa in the Old Testament. The Biblical record states, "For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach them, and without the Law to instruct them. But whenever they were in trouble and turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, and sought him out, they found him." 2 Chronicles 15:3-4 NLT.
